[/quote] I don't know about Air Canada, but in my experience with flying US domestic carriers overseas (even when they code share with Air France, etc) they will let you on with a US sized carry on on the way to Europe. On the way back, you're likely to get flagged even before you go through security and forced to check your bag. That actually works fine, because I'm not as worried about my bags getting delayed on the way home. [/quote] Yes, and depends on the airport IME. At CDG our carry-ons that had been on many flights perfectly fine were sized at security, and one that was maybe an inch over was rejected. Before any interaction with the airline. At GVA and LHR we had no issues. [/quote]
