You don’t want to waste your time or there time. For the company this is probably about senior management optics and your role as a people manager than your ability to do your job from far away so I would try to address those concerns. It is conceivable you could start off in a manageable situation and the company could ask you to adjust down the line. This is happening at the company where my husband works. It is a big bank with a pro-office culture. A few folks were hired during the pandemic from far flung locations. In 2022 and 2023 they were able to come in 2-3 days a week but things have ramped up more and the bank has told them that has to change. It’s creating some havoc in their lives. [/quote]
