Simple question for you: why is this not an issue in rec basketball? Or rec flag football? Lacrosse? Any other sport you can think of? They’re all volunteer run as well. There is something very wrong with how these coaches and coordinators game the system for all stars and team rosters. A[b]nd you think it’s easy to volunteer for a coordinator spot??? [/b]Those positions are taken waaaay in advance usually by someone specifically looking to game the system for their team. Rec basketball has a draft. Rec soccer you are at the mercy of a coordinator. [/quote]

are you saying with a strait face that you called up your local rec soccer league and asked to volunteer--run an age group, run the all star program tryouts, etc--and they told you "No thanks, we have plenty of volunteers". [/quote]

Coordinators hold those positions for years and rarely give them up until their talentless DC moves on to making TikTok videos. [/quote]
