So back when this was for sale the first time, the price was 5 mil. I told my husband that it was overpriced and should list about 3 mil and they will probably get less. Said we should wait and make an offer. Sure enough, price drops to 3.2 mil (I think it went off the market for a bit) and sold for 2.8. We could have sold our current home and adjacent lot and paid cash. Husband is in tech and really could have used that office space for his business. Parents could have moved to that 2nd home on property and replenished their cash. Sister could have moved as well, into the separate wing of the home that has its own kitchen, etc. I’ve been in the home and it’s stunning.

I’m still pissed off at my husband for never taking me seriously re: these things. Ugh. First thing I’m doing if I win the lottery is making an offer on that house![/quote]
