I think pretending that it isn't, is more harmful because it sets people up to have to be saints and when they can't be, they are made to feel worse by people like you. Not everyone is going to be able to deal with that even if they are able to break down hourly, daily, weekly. That is why there are still boarding schools for children with special needs in this country that are filled each year. That is why there are parents who choose adoption when faced at birth with a child who doctors tell them will have significant needs. [/quote]
