In theory, yes. But your post seems a little victim blaming because you are assuming the girl “engaged in confrontation” with him. That has not been established. He is a very bad guy. His rap sheet is extensive. She could’ve done everything right and still had this outcome. It’s very very sad that people like Johnny Ricks exist. [/quote]
I’m not blaming the victim; 100% of the blame lies with the perpetrator, but the article says employees attempted to escort him outside the restaurant. Employers and parents should make it clear that it’s not a fast food employee’s responsibility to serve as a bouncer. This story can serve as a reminder to have that conversation with your teenager.[/quote]

I’m not sure why this is your hill to die on , but it’s not a 15 year old minimum wage employee’s job to provide security. If you want to teach your kids to prioritize others’ safety, be my guest. That’s is not what I will be teaching my kids. Other patrons should have walked out the second it was clear this customer was dangerous.[/quote]
