Dissection is unnecessary killing. Animals have been dissected a million times so far only to find out they have one heart, 2 lungs, 2 kidneys etc. There is nothing new in there. Just watch animated, humane videos and teach your kids! Your kid is not going to turn into Isaac Newton by watching dissected frogs.

What is the percentage of students who end up in med school every year? 
1.1%.
And you want everyone to dissect in elementary school (there are millions of students enrolled every year) because that will motivate them to go for medical sciences? That's a joke and only a proof that humans do not value other lives.

P.S. if you want your child to go for medical sciences, step 1, unhook them from playing video games and let them go outside, in the dirt, under the trees, and watch and experience nature.

Most people do not become doctors but most people do provide first aid for themselves and/or others at some point during their lives.  Knowing about bodies, human and animal, is valuable knowledge for every person.  [/quote]
