We have owned in Bethany in the town limit for 8 years. No victim of crime whatsoever and totally safe. Love our place, great community and neighborhood, use it year round as a weekend getaway, so many priceless family memories at the beach, and love the crazy appreciation we have seen. If you are actually so worried about crime at the beaches by reading some stats instead of talking to actual property owners, then don’t buy at the beaches. No worries. Plenty of other people will and demand is definitely there.
So since you don't see it all the statistics are incorrect?
No, OP doesn’t understand the context. Most of the crime is not happening within the beach town limits. It’s the poor surrounding areas. It’s pretty obvious you don’t own a beach house and have real experiences. Also we have an HOA and active board and they notify everyone any incidents so it’s not just our place, the whole neighborhood is pretty safe.
