Fairfax County recently requested $210M from the NVTA to add to two more lanes to Route 7 for a bus rapid transit line between Tyson’s and the West Falls Church metro station.  Ultimately, the plan is to extend the line into Falls Church City and Seven Corners, at the Mark Center in Alexandria.

On the plus side for Tyson’s Ridge residents, one of the bus stops for the new bus rapid transit line is in front of George C. Marshall, literally at their doorstep. So Tyson’s Ridge residents will be able to get to and from the Tyson’s and West Falls Church Metro station, on a dedicated, traffic-free lane for much of the way.
