I do tend to agree that eating on the beach can often be a pain, and sometimes is more trouble than it's worth.  Sand everywhere!  On beach trips, I tend to spend a few hours at the beach in the morning, then leave to go elsewhere for lunch and get out of the sun during the hottest part of the day.  Then back to the beach later in the afternoon.  I would happily do this for a full week.  Luckily my family enjoys it too.  [/quote]
