I would still say that UF is the way to go due to their ranking and popularity increasing.  And of course not to state the obvious, but ultimately, the fit for the kid and the finances of the parents are the most important. It is more widely known on a national level than UGA (and btw- I am not knocking UGA, as it is a great school) and the UF Board & President are doing everything they can to increase their national status.  [/quote]

You don't appreciate that there's a whole world of people out there who don't think the way you do. Follow the U-Haul trucks. Florida is more popular than ever under the current governor. Applications to UF set new records every year. The acceptance rate keeps dropping, the SAT and ACT ranges rising. The conversation shouldn't be about UF slipping below UGA -- which is an excellent school itself -- it should be about UF gaining on and potentially passing schools like UMich and UCLA.[/quote]
