Interesting, I can think of tons of kids who have left APS for privates but continued to live in Arlington, and many more families that moved out the region or out of state. But can literally think of no one I know who moved from APS to FCPS. [/quote]

If you have a higher budget and some taste, you generally don’t want an Arlington McMansion on a small lot. Plus, FCPS has at least a half dozen pyramids equal to or better than Yorktown and W-L.[/quote]

Some people want a more densely populated area and walkable living environment and to live closer to DC.  Some people don’t.  All good.  Point is the schools are pretty interchangeable.  Yay for you and your taste and your insecurity that goes with it apparently.[/quote]
