Good riddance. It annoys me that they’re dna testing the dogs though and only plan to euthanize the ones who actually attacked the man. If they were normal dogs that would be fine but for pit bulls they should all be euthanized.
+1 Dogs bred for violence turn to violence and they’re just going to sail them out to families, lying the whole way.
Right, because dogs bred for a certain activity can only ever do that activity.
Retrievers like to retrieve and like to hop in water. Sheep dogs like to herd. Breeds bred to be companion dogs like to sit on laps. I don’t understand why it’s only pit bull owners who insist that their one breed (“it’s akshually eight seprit breeds and akshually there’s no such thing as a pit bull you’re breed racist”) alone won’t do what it was bred to do. The reason people no longer fall for your “there are no bad dogs, only bad owners” is that pit bulls keep mauling people. Frequently helpless people.
But it is the people. The people who train these dogs to be mean and abuse them are hungry and scared. If you do that to any large breed dog you are going to get reactive scared dogs. Because 'pit bulls' represent mixed dogs how csn you be sure it is the pit in them and not the chow or German Shepherd? You can't. Plus the media knows pit bull dogs sells so whenever one happens they will report it
You have no evidence that these pit bulls were trained to be mean, nor do you have evidence they were abused, hungry or scared. Even if they were, that doesn’t explain the hundreds of loved pit bulls who “he just snapped!” Pit bulls were bred for violence. They can’t be rehabilitated. They can’t be saved. They’re not good pets. They’re potential killing machines and they’re ruining people’s lives.
So we should kill all dogs that you deem to have potential to kill? Sort of like thought police. And speaking of this case you have zero evidence that these dogs were treated in a loving and caring environment with all their physical and emotional needs met. And if all pit bulls were bad we would have way more attacks and deaths. But we don't so stop the lies
The standard can’t possibly be that unless “-all their physical and emotional needs” are met, it’s understandable that they turn into killing machines. If that is the standard for this breed, no one should have the breed.
You are bonkers to think five breeds of dogs are all killing machines and humans have no role in how they behave. My standard is very basic. Providing food, water and shelter inside your home so it is part of your family. These dogs were obviously not well taken care of!
This was a breeder. Shelters are chock full of pits and pit mixes. If so many are ending up in shelters, what percentage of them are taken care of better than this breeder was taking care of hers? Most are not, or they wouldn’t end up in shelters.
