[/quote] I’ve been concerned about this for sometime too. I’m liberal, but I follow a lot of holistic medicine people and I really don’t like this narrative. First there have been improvements to lower hormones in birth control, and still make it very effective. Especially things like either non-hormonal IUDs or IUDs with progesterone only have much less of an impact on many women in terms of sex drive, depression, other side effects etc. On the flipside, what these people never talk about is that unplanned pregnancies also cause a lot of depression, lower your sex drive, and cause a lot of side effects. My ability to control the size of my family has impacted every aspect of my health and my life and if the trade-off is small dose of hormones, I will choose it every time. [/quote]
