If you have multiple kids that play soccer, you might have learned this with the first kid and then you’d probably question the sincerity of it with the second kid. But as a percentage, those types of families are, without a doubt, a minority.  Before anybody screams “Well, my kid started as a dual roster and they moved up!”, I’m obviously not saying that it never happens, just that it is much more common that it doesn’t.  It works out great for the clubs, though, because if they can convince a kid to stick around for a couple of years before they (or their parents) realize that it’s time for a change, that’s still two years of revenue that they collected and, oh look, there’s a new group of players/parents coming in the door right now![/quote]
