I am due to start Wegovy soon. The doctor said I needed to make an appt to have the nurse teach me how to do the injection. It is a Monday morning though. Dies anyone know if I have to do the actual injection at this appt, or can they teach me without my actually taking it on a Monday morning?
They probably need to do it, otherwise it will waste a dose. When I started I went in for an initial consultation and they ended up giving me the first shot that day. I have had very limited side effects, which is true for many people, so I wouldn't sweat the timing that much.
Is it a big deal to switch days after the initial? For instance, if Monday turns out to be a bad choice, can you take it 8 or 9 days later (instead of 7) to move to Tuesday or Wednesday?
Of course. You may notice the effect starts to wane at the end of a week, so in the early days I'd extend by a day at a time. I go into the office for my shots and also travel a lot for work so often have to go on different days of the week.
