Yes, these companies are indeed harmful and negligent, but ultimately:

- parents are at fault.

You are simply an awful parent if you allow your kid to use SnapChat, TickTock, or Discord.  Seriously: you suck at parenting.[/quote]

could not agree with this more! My child has zero social media yet she’s still up on the latest trends because she can basically see anything on YouTube. It’s not like your kid is going to be an outcast or completely out of the loop just by not having these platforms. We have strict controls on how much time she can spend each day. If she is over, even by a minute, she loses her phone for 24 hours. Parents have GOT to be more involved and more strict with the guard rails and actually enforce the consequences. YES IT’S TIME-CONSUMING. AND YES, I WOULD RATHER NOT HAVE TO DO IT BUT IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY IN RAISING OUR KIDS. It is not these companies fault that you are handing your kid a cell phone and allowing them to download the apps. I think all the platforms are evil and the people who run them should be destined for hell, but it doesn’t change the fact that the responsibility lies with the parents. Period. [/quote]
