Because [b]legally you need a court order to access those school records[/b]. There are protective laws meant to protect juvenile data, but instead they keep services intended to help minors from communicating with each other. It's not automated because it would violate the law.

Huh? DCPS contacts CFSA on its own after a certain number of absences already (I believe it's 10, but don't quote me). No subpoena required.[/quote]
