Oof this is hard to wrap my brain around. We did a family of three for 10 days for 7K. Not first class airfare. Three cities. This seems like an excessive number of stops.
Yeah we've done two week European vacations the last three consecutive years for under 20k total. 24k just sounds crazy. Though we're a family of three.
It’s needing two hotel rooms and so many destinations and train tickets/flights that’s pushing it that high. We’ve done a week in several major cities for about 9-10k each time including airfare and hotel. Two weeks would have been doable for about 13-14k I think. We did have two hotel rooms actually but they were mot easy to find for a decent price at 3-4 star hotels. I think OP could probably come in a bit lower than 24k but with so many different stops and transportation 24k is not unreasonable. I do recommend against the itinerary. To me, those are two or three different trips. London/Paris fine or just do Italy. I don’t like the idea of hopping around Europe that way in two weeks. Travel is stressful and tiring. You’ll spend less and have a better experience with fewer stops.
