Is it possible that they could have an undiagnosed learning disability? Failing SOLS is a big deal, and not very typical for children who do not have some disability, are English learners, or who have attendance issues. Consider 1) email the principal 2) request a local screening committee to discuss academic concerns.bat the meeting, Document all below grade level scores and what intervention the school has done. Consider if child needs special education testing (educational and psychological testing) to see if he child has an educational disability.
