Society had been obsessed with this case for a long time ;I remember the Hulu miniseries on this with Patricia Arquette). Once she was released magazines, photographers, podcasters, tv producers, Tik Tokers,
True crime people, etc were all going to be making money off of her story (and have been). Why shouldn’t she be the one to cash those checks? I don’t get the angst.[/quote]
I don’t remember where I saw it or read it, but it’s documented that she declined therapy (maybe psychiatric ). I thought it was therapy that she declined, but I could be mistaken.
