I have sympathy for your daughter. I have curly hair and just not everything works well in my hair. and what works well in the winter may not work well in the summer. I do not always finish a bottle or use it if I know I don't need my hair to look good. Encourage samples until she figures out what works for her.
You're an adult and haven't found a shampoo and conditioner that works for you? After all these years?
Well, to be fair, you’re an adult and you don’t know that this is something that happens regularly to many people with curly or textured hair? Humidity, weather, hormones, the way my hair changes after repeated blow outs / silk presses versus wearing it curly for months…the list goes on. If I’m wearing my hair straight - I need a whole different set of products versus wearing it curly. It is sometimes hard to get travel or sample sizes for curly products so I do end up buying a regular sized bottle to try it. OP - maybe you could set a budget for hair products or say that she can only purchase 1 hair product every x weeks or whatever. Google or search TikTok to find ideas for what to do with barely used hair products. I have seen this topic covered on blogs etc. It’s also something that happens to some people who are neurodivergent (shopping a lot, object impermanence etc).
