2. Pair very expensive things with cheap things - i.e. my $400 shoes with a well fitted  dress from Target I got for sale $15 and tailored. 
3. Subtle REAL jewelry, e.g., diamond studs- never cz
4. Always dress for your figure.  Never wear 'sweat pants'.  Aviator Nation make folks look like they're wearing a giant diaper, so I don't get why people would pay money to look that way

This is dumb advice. Absolutely no one can tell if your earrings are CZ. I have CZ set in real gold (sensitive skin) and they are cheap and look great. For a ring you can argue for diamonds for durability but for earrings no one can tell. [/quote]

CZ looks whitish in certain light and has less brilliance, which I can spot from across the room.  But if you can't tell- go for it.[/quote]
