Sadly we can't recall the lazy do-nothing USAOs who won't prosecute violent repeat offenders - or the judges and sentencing commission who keep letting them right back out on the street to go victimize more people.

The Sentencing Commission that the DC Council just appointed a murderer to serve on? One who just served a 27 year sentence? You know how rare that is here. No victims or victims' family members serve on the Commission. Then Mendelson attempted to hide it by holding hearings on the appointment before public notice, guess they thought public comment might not be favorable?  I'm sure that murderer will be very victim focused. Much like these COA judges who just made it much more difficult to GPS monitor dangerous releasees in DC. Former public defender judges, color me shocked.
