As long as they get back on schedule before school starts. NBD.
+1
Same sleep is good. Just let the kid be.
No one needs 10+ hrs of sleep. Lazy
Teens in the midst of a growth spurt do. Teen boy goes through phases where he eats a ton and sleeps until noon during vacation and then seems to have grown over the course of a couple days because his isn’t a seem to be once again too short.
Agree. But they don’t need to be gaming or FaceTiming until 3 or 4 am and then sleeping all morning. Especially not a 14 YO. Be a parent OP.
Why not?
If you think it's OK for a 14 YO to be up and on electronics all night, even during their short 2-week Christmas break, I seriously hope you're not a parent.
Oh I am a parent of 3 teens. The youngest is 14. Yes this happens in our house during school breaks. It is no different than sleepovers where they are doing the same thing.
Sleepovers are not everyday events. They also disrupt kids moods and attention the next day, which is not a good thing. Fine, just admit that you're cool with your 14 YO staying up all night talking/ interacting with god knows who online, and sleeping away the next day. It's easy enough for you to look the other way and hope/ pretend nothing is wrong with this.
Yes I am cool with this. I do not think there is anything wrong with it. I mean it is not ideal, but oh well.
