[twitter] https://x.com/mocopgnews/status/1737712988964974671?s=46&t=R3AX3c486LFdeZpFtkN_eA[/twitter] This is Erlich’s Montgomery county. This is the current councils Montgomery county. I don’t want a third term of Erlich. Whoever wants against to run against him needs to Run a 30 second ad with crime stats to get peoples attention.
The question is whether any candidate will be bold enough to make that message the focus of their campaign. Candidates like Blair seemed to be afraid to talk about crime. I think the fear was that a "tough on crime" message would alienate MoCo voters. Also, the recent NoVA elections raise doubts about how much voters care about crime as a campaign issue. Just look up all the candidates who aired endless ads about how their opponent was weak on crime; most didn't win. And NoVA has a huge crime problem also. I wish more people would vote based on this issue, but it just doesn't seem to be happening.
I just don’t understand why we are so afraid of speaking up against crime. People who live in these high crime areas deserve better, and I wish they would vote for a candidate who would speak up and step up for them. Just not another Elrich!
Because of slavery, black people can't help but commit crime. So being tough on crime is racist.
