OP here. Thank you. I guess I didn’t make it clear that I just wanted advice on what’s in style. I’m under no illusion that a cool sneaker will transform me. I don’t need the trendiest of everything but I’d like to not invest in something that is totally over! [/quote]

Honestly, I think those Nike air and 80s new balance shoes are so ugly, I can’t take these trends too seriously. No need for Alexander McQueen either.  I think you’re fine with a Veja or one of the better looking new balance shoes at j crew.   But all that matters is you get what YOU like.  All sneakers seem to be fashionable at the moment.
