Listen, Comrade, we don't do work camps in this country. Maybe Russia is more to your liking?

There are already criminal laws on the books. There always have been. Those simply are not deterrents for some people, esp. those living on the edge of poverty, poor schools, etc. That's not an excuse but it is a reason.

Similarly, prosecutors can only enforce laws to the extent they are staffed and funded. And all you government haters and tax haters (which fund those offices) will certainly not want to do what it takes to staff and fund those offices. [/quote]
