I’m on the flip side of this. My sister-in-law’s family arrived and it was clear my niece was sick. I started feeling off yesterday and just woke up feeling worse. This is my busiest time of year for work and I have always told my fam I can’t afford to get sick during the holidays. Also, there were four grandparents at that dinner. If someone is sick, they shouldn’t be socializing. It was common sense before Covid and I don’t understand why people don’t get it.
I’m the person who posted this. My wife tested positive and feels terrible. We cancelled OUR plans for the weekend and will WFH this week because we don’t want to spread the germs. So glad my niece could enjoy Thanksgiving dinner, though.
