I think that she was smart and she got what she wanted. She tried to settle with him privately and he clearly didn’t believe she’d go public with it. 
Why go through the hell of a trial in the court and press? There are going to be more people coming for him. Did you notice in that short amount of time how many backed her up? And Janet Jackson and Naomi Campbell (royalty) took down their posts from his birthday party. Questions about horrible things in his past, long buried, resurfaced. There was swift backlash against him. Once one person is fearless enough to come forward, others follow. [/quote]
