Elissa was involved in a city wide campaign against a popular former CM whom many think is going to be the mayor. JLG and Allen are both in standalone wards with strong followings, despite what this site seems to feel.[/quote] Elissa Silverman had the other problem of being seen as manipulating the Ward 3 Council primary race and then dissing Ward 3 voters by embracing a gerrymandered ANC plan that resulted in splitting neighborhoods. She then said she'd throw a big party in Ward 3 to "celebrate" the redistricting scheme that she pushed through. A lot of voters then went to the polls in November with the goal of celebrating Silverman's defeat.[/quote]
