Depends.  In wealthier circles "young" moms are having their first at 35 and many moms are having babies at mid 40s or even 50.

In truly wealthy circles the mom definitely skews younger because she doesn't have to work. In middle-class/upper middle/class circles where the mom works most moms have kids in their upper 30s. 40 and up is on the older end (even for celebrities). [b]I'd say my family is middle-class in the DMV (HHI of $450)[/b] and we had our first at 28 and our last at 37. I was young for my first, but definitely on the older end for our fourth. [/quote]

450 puts you very average in any decent school pyramid or private school.

I feel average at our private school and we have a $2m HHI.
