DC has a high murder rate.  Year to date there have been 2 homicides in Ward 3.  Neither were in Tenleytown.  Crime in Tenleytown area (YTD) is mostly robbery and auto theft.  Still not great but property crime, not violent crime, is primarily what is happening in this area of DC.

No one said that you were going to get murdered in Tenleytown. You’re just buying into a city that has twice as many murders per capita than The Bronx. You won’t get murdered, but there are a lot of ancillary effects that come with living in such a dangerous city.

Do we want to start comparing DC’s carjacking stats to other cities? There are 800 this year so far in a city of 712,000.
