Unfortunately, Republicans are insane presently. They clearly have no interest in governing. They're nihilists. And they have a very weird cult of personality. I will never understand the Republican devotion to Trump. It's bizarre. It's weird. It's dangerous. I could never vote for a Republican Party that is loyal to Donald Trump. The GOP is pathetic these days. But if the GOP were to roll with a Mitt Romney or a John McCain, they'd win everything. There's been serious democratic overreach - from soft on crime to some of the trans absurdities. There's a lot of space for common sense candidates. But Republicans refuse to go there. They are 100 percent invested in Donald Trump. And that makes them awful and repellent.
The Republicans could sweep across the board if they could run a moderate like Romney. The Democrats have gone off the deep end, but as you say, Trump is repellent.
You and the rest of the dummies who are practically baying to vote Republican are part of the problem. You don’t see that though, do you? Your reply will be of the “omg you’re such a partisan!” variety, but whoop de ding. Which Republicans have presented any sort of plans or governance? Which ones have actually acted against the worst impulses of the GOP fringe (now the base and no longer “the fringe” at all)? Abortion is functionally illegal in multiple states, prenatal care is worse, pregnant women who were actually just trying to have a baby have to wait to be near enough to death to get a life saving abortion… where has any Republican put any brakes on this? You all want to pretend that Trump is the only problem. He’s not. He’s the weird boil that signifies blood poisoning. But ohhhhh the Democrats want trans people to feel safe. (And for the record I do agree that trans activists have gone too far but they still get murdered way more than people born into the right gendered body so I can see where it’s coming from. You can only hold people down for so long before something snaps).
Anytime your democrat party speaks out about moderation and not demanding wide open borders, uncontrolled violent crime, and abortion to one minute before the baby is born whilst forcing the tax payer to foot the bill, you let us know that republicans are fringe.
Dem and GOP voters are not the problem. It's the Dem and GOP politicians that are the problem. You can't lump the average American voter in with the politicians that supposedly represent them. The voters are simply voting for what they believe to be their only choices.
