Why is Talbots such a “no”? I think it is a great store for interview basics, and as others said, they often have inclusive sizing in stock in the store. To my mind, Talbots’ style is a less expensive Brooks Brothers. And young men certainly still shop there especially for interviews.
Talbots also carries petite plus size which saves money on tailoring suit pieces. I know my plus size friends who were also petite shopped there at that age for work appropriate basics.
Even though Talbots carries those sizes, the cut is all wrong for a 22 year old. A 22 year size 16 is very different from a 50 year old size 16. And respectfully, op is saying “16/18W”, but it’s likely that a 22 year old doesn’t need the “W” on those sizes. The “W” changes the fit. There is a distinct difference between a 16 and a 16w, 18 and 18w and so on. Talbots plus sizes are cut for a more mature body, no matter the size.
