I’m pissed they redistributed Sterling into the district, as opposed to taking more people from Fauquier near Warrenton. Would have made it more favorable for us. Optimistically pessimistic.
Who is “us” and why would is the current configuration less favorable?
Because the district doesn’t make any sense. The majority of the district is rural exurban farmland (Lovettsville, Middleburg, The Plains, Purcellville, Roundhill). It would have made more sense to pair the district with the similar geographically/racially similar Northern Fauquier precincts rather than with Sterling on the Fairfax border, who have no clue or care for the wineries, cow pastures, open greenery, country life that both candidates are advocating for. IMO, Aldie was the furthest east it should be.
You didn’t answer the question: who is “us?”
Was it not completely obvious from the PP's position that the district should be more "racially similar" and should include Fauquier county instead of Sterling, where some black and brown people live?
No. Elaborate, please.
