She’s bitten dogs at the vet, and now has to be muzzled. She’s killed small animals in the yard. I tried to introduce her to my dog when I got him 2.5 years ago. She tried to attack him. She slipped the leash and my ex laid on top of her so we could get out of the yard.

You realize that she is pawning this off on mom so that she doesn't have to make the hard decision. Then she puts you in an untenable situation so she doesn't have to feel guilt. You need to tell her you can't take the dog. It is unfair of her to put your dog in danger. Help her through the process, but don't be the solution at the expense of you and your dog.[/quote]
