I already told you in a previous post. But, to reiterate, Republicans claimed that it was an attempt to stop the vote and caused the evacuation of the Capitol. The event didn't even take place in the Capitol and did not disrupt the vote. Moreover, Bowman didn't want to disrupt the vote, he voted in favor of the bill.

We have now learned that the door in question is normally open, but closed on weekends. Bowman was attempting to go vote and the sign on the door said to push and wait for the alarm. Bowman claims he thought this meant to pull the alarm that was right next to the door. This is completely different than an attempt to disrupt an official proceeding of Congress.

Fact: door was in the Cannon Building and not the Capitol.

Fact: alarm did not interrupt the vote.

Fact: door is normally open and used by Members of Congress.

Fact: door had a sign that said to push and wait for the alarm.

Fact: alarm was right next to the door.

None of this is disputable. So, knowing all of this, why do you think Bowman pulled the alarm?

Frankly, if he is stupid enough to think a fire alarm would open a door (especially having been a school principal that requires multiple fire alarm drills each year), then he is stupid enough to think his actions would delay a vote.  [/quote]
