Nice straw man. The GOP controlled the legislative branch for most of both of their presidencies. Want to see how much Democrats can do when they have unified government? Not even a filibuster proof majority? Look at the first year or so of Obama and Biden’s administrations to see how much can get done. Now consider if they didn’t have the GOP blocking them. But you knew that. Of course, I’d love to see how the GOP is helping Gen Z. CHiPs and Science Act to bring high tech manufacturing back to the U.S.

The Inflation Reduction Act - the largest boost to domestic green energy manufacturing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions ever in the U.S. and massive increase in IRS funding to actually go after tax cheats

Support for Ukraine's defense - surprisingly cheap foreign aid to isolate and render a primary adversary ineffective while also reaffirming the U.S.'s ties to NATO (and added Finland and potentially Sweden to the alliance). Given the consequences to Russia, I imagine it's made China think twice about invading Taiwan and brought the U.S. closer to Korea and Japan.

I'll also add that they got us out of the endless boots on the ground war in Afghanistan. It was messy but necessary and I'm glad we're done.

You can argue about whether you agree with these policies or not. However, they are consequential and meaningful to the U.S. economy, to domestic manufacturing, to long term U.S. investment, and to our foreign alliances. While inflation is higher than anyone would like, it's lower than any other developed country and our economy also recovered faster from the pandemic.

And let's remember, this was all accomplished with a razor-thin majority in the Senate that was not filibuster proof.[/quote]
