I think it is important to make a distinction between recruiting and committing.  For the 2024 class for D1 recruiting is over.  Attending recruiting events for this class is finished and a waste of time.  Some kids are still going to commit to teams that they are already in communication with.  Last year was probably event later with some new D1 programs:  Queens/Lindenwood/Merrimack/Iona.  For D3, the top schools are done recruiting for the most part like the NESCAC and other top programs CNU/Salisbury but some additional commitments to come.  There are still many D3 programs that are hosting recruiting prospect days in the fall and winter but a 2024 should also be applying to colleges anyway regardless of the lacrosse option.  From a pure numbers standpoint there are 50% or more of D3 programs still looking to find players to complete rosters.  That is more open slots than all of D1 combined.  I hope this helps[/quote]
