And what about the 3 children who will now grow up without a father? How does allowing this violence to continue (because insert sob story about the perpetrator) help the children who lose a parent to a stray bullet?

If we want to act like a first world country, we need to be protecting our innocent children from violence. Guns are now a leading cause of death for youth in America. But sure, please tell me about how all these shooters just need a hot meal and a hug.[/quote]

Maybe what we do instead is impose consequences on the people who keep pushing the idea that police and jail are bad.  Starting to seem like they are the problem that needs to be fixrf.[/quote]
