OP here,

My other kid will put Einstein first, presumably get it, and then be done with the process.  So, I'm not anti-Einstein at all.

But this kid is on a track to take calculus in 9th or 10th, and I understand that Blair offers more post-calculus math options.  We'll live pretty much equidistant from Blair, Northwood and Einstein. [/quote]

All schools, including Einstein can handle kids with Pre-Cal in 9th.  How would your child take Calculus in 9th?[/quote]

It should transfer if its an accredited school however, do you want your kid in Calc. with mostly 11-12th graders.  There are only a handful of kids who take  pre-cal in 9th.[/quote]

So, if he’s in precalcus now, ask the current school if he goes to precal or calculus.  All the schools have enough math options for four years or they take classes at community college.  This isn’t a big deal.  [/quote]
