So sorry what was severance?

A really good offer would be :
Two weeks in leu of notice 
Four weeks per year severance 
Four weeks of paid at employee rate cobra coverage

Also job outplacement assistance 
Maybe keep lap top
Assurance you get a good reference

Nobody gives severence when you are fired for performance issues.  I doubt OP gets anything.[/quote]

Yes they do. My prior three companies had a 90 day probation. Only people fired during 90 day probation don’t get severance.

I only got canned performance once and was at 4.5 month. And I got $30,000 severance. Mainly to sign agreement I won’t sue and the NDA. If they canned me in first 90 days would have got zero. Or maybe 2 weeks.

Performance is subjective. My canning was my boss wanted me to do triple my work load of prior job at only a 25k pay raise and I was pushing back. And yes I knew it would get me fired. Did not care.
