I’ve seen kids point blank ask for things they don’t deserve and didn’t earn. Adults in a position of power can see discern between the kids who do the work and do it well v the kids who rudely ask why they didn’t get xyz. It takes some social grace to navigate these situations. Advocating for yourself is an important skill. But being pushy is a net negative. [/quote]
