I've definitely smelled it from other cars and it's wafted into my car many times. So I open my windows for a few seconds and blast it out, and move on with my life.

I've smelled it all manner of public places and maybe even walked through a cloud or two. It does not stick to your clothes and hair from a momentary, or even several minute encounter. You're exaggerating. You are not going to get a "contact high" or pop a positive on a work drug test, your children are not going to get stoned from intermittent or a passing encounter with outdoor second hand smoke.

Yea, it's a strong smell and it's definitely bad manners/inconsiderate to smoke in a manner and place that it in close proximity to the general public. But it's not the calamity most of you here are making it out to be.[/quote]

NP.  I also get migraines from smoke (any kind) and perfumes.  Yes, it is really annoying.  That being said, downtown DC isn’t anyway near the smog filled misery this thread is making it out to be.  Pot is stinky but so is tobacco and both of them are socially acceptable to smoke in public.  At least unlike perfumes people don’t smoke inside.[/quote]
