People must not be dealing with this several nights a week as we are. One of us drops off and the other picks up and in the interim we go home to make dinner, supervise/do homework with the other kids, tidy up, etc. How do people go to the grocery store without getting anything perishable?
And totally agree. I’m with the hang out and try something new crowd. I don’t drive to practice every day, you’re right. I alternate with another family so it’s kind of fun maybe once or twice a week. 4/5 days a week exploring new restaurants, new running routes etc would get tiring. One time I needed to take DD somewhere and I was so tired I just wanted to take a nap but it was too hot to sit in the car, and could I even nap somewhere safe like a park, or might I be carjacked? When I lived in LA 20 years ago people napped in their cars all the time in parking garages and random store parking lots. Not sure I could do that here.
