Dear OP, We don’t win awards for who did the most things in life. A person who is able to spend their days as they want is incredibly fortunate and just because they are not contributing as YOU feel they should, does not mean they don’t contribute in other ways. It sounds like deep down you may wish you could do the same. If so, I urge you to try to find ways to spend your days doing things that fulfill you. If you are worried about not being able to meet your needs, how can you save so you can leave the rat race and escape to where you truly want to be? There is always a way, but in order to find that way, sometimes we have have to make sacrifices. Also, a lot of times people who are constantly on the go, or doing things, or feel they always have to be contributing are running from something in their life. If this is you, what is it you are trying to escape?
Np I definitely try to fill my time with busy work to keep my mind off certain anxieties. I can slow down and do much less when my mind is clear and content. It's very helpful so I get why anyone else would do the same.
