We keep our routine year round. Makes it easier. Kid is in MS. Might get harder in HS but she is already starting to understand how important her sleep is so hopefully will be relatively easy.
Our MS bus comes at 6:30. You make your kid wake up at 6 AM year round?
I would not ever live somewhere like this. You make your kid get up at 6 AM 9 months out of the year?
DP. 5:30 for us. I ended up driving DD 4th quarter of last year so she could get a little extra sleep.
That's insane, If our school was like this i would home school or move.
It is strange that FCPS has not come around. LCPS where we live has sent ES kids first (then MS, then HS) for 20+ years now. Start times are 7:30/8:30/9:30.
For us it's 8:15 for elementary and 8:30 for middle and high school.
Our ES, MS, and HS are all staggered as well. 7:20/7:55/8:30. I'd prefer it to be shifted slightly later but it's fine how it is. It makes for more time in the evening after sports.
