]literally every persons who has ever lived in a dorm felt disappointed by the room itself. It builds character. You want nice things? Work hard. I look forward to the day my kids learn just how cushy they’ve had it here at home! 😂
The key to not being disappointed is to keep expectations low! Just moved DD into her dorm today. She had very low expectations and ended up pleasantly surprised. She knew there was no AC but found the hallways do have it and her room is actually right by the unit, so just leaving the door open made the room quite cool. More storage than anticipated, she actually had empty drawers. She lucked out with one of the larger rooms on the floor. Other kids walked by and commented on it.
