I work at a private preschool and have seen kids wearing expensive brands, no big deal. However a preschooler came in this spring with a t-shirt that said "[Well known expensive private school] Class of 2038" and I did think that was a bit much. We've had many kids move on to private schools (including that specific one) over the years but I'd ever seen anything like that.
m Weird. I’d just assume that they’re either trying to get the kid hyped about it or are hoping to connect with other families who’ll be attending. This doesn’t seem like a weird thing to me. It’s just a shirt. But then my kid went to an expensive private school- with a ton of financial aid.
Maybe it was about the kid. Our school has a car drop off/pick up line so parents don't really connect with other families. I'd just never seen that before despite many kids from our school moving on to that specific private school. Our kids move on to many private schools...but no one has ever worn "Class of" shirts. Plus that girl was big into dresses and the color pink so I can only assume her parents chose the gray shirt specifically for school. I hope she does well, she was a cutie!
